Vienna in August: sights & sunshine

August 13th, 2017

In August 2017 I stayed in Vienna for the third time and instead of spending hours in a café I strolled around the Karmeliter Quarter, visited the Crime Museum and took a walk through the Augarten park and along the the River Danube. In the Augarten park massive air defence towers had been built towards the end of WW II. Today, they are home to thousands of pigeons that nest there.

I had a very nice room with an impressive view in Motel One opposite the central station. I would definitely go there again.
